The Association of Classical and Christian Schools (ACCS) is an organization which exists "to promote, establish, and equip schools committed to a classical approach to education". Their members page lists a large percentage of the schools which use the classical approach.
Veritas Press has several interesting articles.
The following books on classical education are highly recommended:
- Classical Education: Towards the Revival of American Schooling by Gene Edward Veith, Jr. and Andrew Kern. This short book describes four models of classical schools. Liberty Classical Academy is associated with the first, "Christian Classicism: The Association of Classical and Christian Schools."
- Recovering the Lost Tools of Learning by Douglas Wilson.
- Repairing the Ruins: The Classical and Christian Challenge to Modern Education, Edited by Douglas Wilson. This book is a series of essays written by several people on classical and Christian education.
- The Well-Trained Mind: A Guide to Classical Education at Home by Jessie Wise and Susan Wise Bauer. As the subtitle indicates, this book is written for homeschoolers. However, it also contains information which is useful in understanding classical education.
Finally, Dorothy Sayers' essay on The Lost Tools of Learning is a thought-provoking comment on modern education.
